Learn to tie your shoes the right way!
This website is designed to help you learn to tie your shoelaces with a better knot. A knot that is much less likely to become undone, called the 'Secure Knot'. Ian Fieggen aka "Professor Shoelace" rediscovered this amazing knot and you can go here for his comprehensive website:

What if there was a way that even when your shoes were *untied* you still couldn't step on your laces? You would no longer have to worry about your laces getting dirty, damaged or even worse - tripping over them. Well there is, it's call Ukrainian Lacing and was invented by Vitaliy Gnatenko. See his website here.
Ukrainian lacing + the Ian Secure Knot is the perfect system for tying your shoes. Even if the knot comes undone your shoelaces can't hang low enough to step on them. Teachers, children and everyone can benefit from this. It takes a little bit of practice but once you get the hang of things you'll see what you've been missing.
Use the graphic below for reference. Make sure the captive knot (the starting knot already laced in place) is moved to the top eyelets for these instructions to work.
